Job Description

The Account Director provides administration and supervision of cleaning services for the occupants of the buildings and adjacent grounds at  three Cambrian College campuses.

Things You Are Great At:

  • Establishes standards and sets goals assigning tasks and monitors the work of your  teams.
  • Supervises and evaluates performance, ensuring that fixed quality/quantity standards are met and policies are adhered to.
  • Establishes standards for a fair work environment; motivates and maintains the morale of employee’s  in the workplace.
  • Ensures a safe/healthy workplace for employee’s by providing information regarding  occupational health and safety.
  • Responsible for the management of the unit budget, whilst monitoring expenditures of the operational budget.
  • Accountable for control, security and maintenance of motorised cleaning and maintenance equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, burnishers, floor scrubbers, power washers, and drills.
  • Accountable for control and security of janitorial and maintenance tools, including ladders, PPE, and hand tools used to perform minor repairs.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Experience facilitating meetings
  • A great communicator and relationship builder

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial janitorial services
  • Post-secondary diploma in an applicable field of study
  • Bilingual (French) would be an asset
