The Director of Sales and Business Development has overall responsibility for the pursuit of new sales within their region, both selling new work and providing leadership and support to the sales team including guidance, mentorship, planning, and performance management. Responsibilities include gathering market intelligence, prospecting potential clients, planning persuasive engagement, and leading bid teams in the conversion of opportunities to contract. Ultimately, the Director of Sales and Business Development plays a key role in the development of a high-performance sales organization and is critical to the generation, management, and conversion of a sustainable pipeline of new work that reflects Dexterra’s business plan and strategic priorities.
