Powered by people, we bring best-in-class innovation and regional expertise to every challenge.
We’ve been here, servicing our Canadian clients, for over 70 years. The companies that began independently and now form Dexterra have an outstanding record of creating and managing places that play a vital role in our national economy and our local communities. Formerly part of Carillion Canada, Dexterra demerged in an acquisition by Fairfax Financial Holdings. This transaction has allowed us to continue to focus on creating industry-leading facilities management and operation solutions across Canada, supported by Fairfax’s resources.
You might have known us by another name, but today we are stronger than ever – bringing the right teams with the right skills to turn your facilities and infrastructure problems into solutions. With decades of experience, we bring access to extensive expertise and knowledge in your specific region. And by building lasting relationships, we’re able to provide more value, greater opportunities and better service.
We don't just walk by. We own our successes and our setbacks. If we see something wrong, we act to resolve it. If we see something right, we celebrate it.
Everyone has a voice. Listening to and sharing different perspectives is how we learn. It's how we make progress and move forward as a team.
We’re empowered to make decisions. But with freedom comes responsibility. We accept it, sharing and learning from the outcomes.
Service is what we sell. Asking for, listening to and acting on client feedback is how we create long-term, successful partnerships.

Through a series of programs and training, we strive to lead the way when it comes to health and safety. Our goal is zero work-related accidents, incidents and ill health. We assess health and safety risks at every stage of a contract and empower our employees to have the courage to identify and challenge unsafe acts or conditions. This practice has proven successful in raising issues and creating a culture of awareness, openness and accountability.
We participate on advisory committees, stakeholder consultation opportunities and volunteering with charities that are working to improve health and safety in Canada. And, through our Health Like Safety program, we promote healthier lifestyles – helping our people better manage their well-being.
A healthy environment helps communities and businesses thrive. Working with our clients and suppliers, we’re cutting carbon, eliminating waste and protecting the natural environment. We are committed to continuous improvement in environmental performance. Our program uses processes, products and tools validated by third-party agencies and green councils. It’s good for your facilities, bottom line and reputation.
We believe in the importance of supporting the interests of Indigenous peoples by working collaboratively to achieve mutual goals and develop strong partnerships. A few of the ways we do this are through youth training and education programs, community investment, working with Indigenous owned and operated suppliers and subcontractors, and by employing, developing and retaining First Nations employees.
We are proud supporters of Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures program and members of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.
We are committed to supporting Canadian Armed Forces Veterans and active members of the Reserve Force, recognizing the contribution that they and their families make to our business and to Canada. We continue to develop our recruitment, training and employment programs and are proud to support the many agencies and associations who support Armed Forces Veterans, active members of the Reserve Force and their families.
Supporting our local communities is important to us. We operate across Canada, from the country’s largest cities to its most remote communities. Our people are hired locally, so our employees don’t just work in the community, they live there, too. As good neighbours, we believe in being active members of our local communities through volunteering, donations and financial support for important local social and economic initiatives.
